Programs & Classes
A good piano academy usually doesn’t just teach “how to play pieces.” It tends to cover several subjects that build a complete musician. While each school may vary, the five core subjects most often taught are:
Technique, repertoire, sight reading, and expressive playing.
Scales, chords, harmony, rhythm, and the structure of music.
Listening, recognizing intervals/chords, and playing by ear.
Learning about composers, styles, and different musical eras.
Playing with others, duet work, andaccompaniment techniques.
Group Classes
We are expanding our offerings to include group lessons in music theory, solfège, and ensemble performance. Group classes provide:
A collaborative learning environment.
Teamwork, listening, and peer motivation.
Opportunities to perform and share music together.
